This session will introduce graphic novels in French and will explore them as cultural product and practice. It will engage participants in a variety of activities and show how graphic narratives can be used as a medium to expose students to cultural, social and political issues and to discuss current global concerns.
Dr. Louissa Abdelghany is a native speaker of French, originally fromLebanon. She is a Professor of French and Arabic at Salem State University and presents regularly on the national, regional and state level.
