The lace of Le Puy, France, historically so vital to the economic, social, educational, literary and spiritual life of the area, is linked to the Black Virgin, Jubilee celebrations and the semi-religious order of the Béates.  In this workshop, the history of Le Puy lace will be explored (with a Power Point for attendees) and participants will have a chance to experiment with bobbin lace-making.
